“The students made wonderful ceramic creations and all have used knowledge from the Crafting Coral experience in their exam questions to great success. Students are now much more knowledgeable and confident in their coral topic. It’s also a memorable experience that has brought Geography and the possible careers to life.”
Alice Noble

“While trying to find a spot to drop our anchor, we came across a local fisher handlining off his small boat. He cracked a smile – “thank you for planting the corals, now I can catch fish here again”. It’s refreshing to witness first-hand the positive impact felt by the locals, especially in collaborative and small-scale conservation efforts like this.”
Made Abiyoga
Marine conservationist, Indonesia

“The Crafting Coral ceramic workshop was a new and enjoyable way to introduce us to an uncommon topic and fully grasp our attention and understanding in a way that allowed us to feel welcomed and comfortable.”

“I really enjoyed the workshop as it was a unique way to present a project that students can be involved in once we’re older and also to present a ‘call to action’ in a fun and resonating way. The workshop leaders were also friendly and made a comfortable environment where all students could have discussions and express themselves through their creations.”
